The Best Mods for GTA 5
Since its launch in 2015, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been flooded with thousands of user-made mods so much so don’t get confused with them all we’ll show you The Best Mods for GTA 5.

Grand Theft Space

Grand Theft Space transports players from GTA 5’s urban sprawl to the cosmos above. At present, it has a functioning space shuttle, 11 planets, three moons and scant alien life. It’s simple and is currently a work-in-progress open-source project that could become the fully-customisable space sandbox we’ve always wanted, as it blends real life research with science fiction to great effect.

The Superhot mod transplants Superhot’s innovative time-stopping mechanics into GTA V. When you stop moving, time stands still. The Superhot mod feels right at home when in close quarters combat. When back in the long game, you can toggle the mod off with the press of a button and resume normal play.

Gang and Turf

Lucas Vinicius’ Gang and Turf mod has been around for a while, but is still being grown and supported today. It adds GTA: San Andreas’ gang warfare system. Gang and Turf charges players with heading up their own murder squads—within which members are registered, crew colours are sworn by, and patches are defended. Team vehicles are assigned for squad-based transportation, and backup can be patched in by land or parachute when things get heavy. The results are suitably chaotic, particularly when multiple companies rough it out for the same stretches of land—or when another gang relocates their spawn point on the fly.

Dragon Ball script

From prolific Grand Theft Auto 5 superhero modder JulioNIB, the Dragon Ball script mod lets players to tear up the faux LA cityscape from land or sky, utilising a host of DB-authentic powers and moves as they go. You can try the Kamehameha energy attack, Ki Blast, Teleport, and/or the iconic Destructo Disc maneuver for size this-a-way.

Map Editor

With the use of a free-roaming cam, you can easily place cars, ramps, and even animals throughout Los Santos, then hop in and play with your experiments. It’s a robust tool with a myriad of options. It’s intuitive and simple to use.

Ironman Script Mod Version 2.0

Veteran superhero modder JulioNIB has iterated and reiterated on their Los Santos-flavoured Iron Man since GTA 5 first landed on desktop over two years ago. First we had the Iron Man Script mod, then the Mini Hulkbuster IronmanV venture, and now we have the Ironman Script Mod Version 2.0. The latter is easily the most accomplished, impressive, and, crucially, fun addition yet—and comes packing new animations and effects as well as new ways to tear up the game’s faux Los Angeles streets.

Field-of-view mod

For the first time, GTA V offers a first-person mode. Far from a tack-on, RockStar put a lot of effort into making it work just like a real first-person shooter. One thing they missed, though, is dynamic field-of-view adjustment. The default FOV is a bit narrow, which makes some players feel sick. With this mod you can change the FOV to whatever setting is comfortable for you.

Jet Pack

Jet Pack replicates the unorthodox sky bound mode of transport that first featured in Grand Theft Auto 5’s 2004 forerunner San Andreas. Taking to the skies never fails to amuse.

Gravity Gun

Do you want a gravity gun? Well, of course, everyone does. With this, you can send cars, trucks and even pedestrians flying across the map. It’s not the most effective weapon but it is the most fun. For added hilarity, try The Inner Force mod, which can levitate everything around you.

Superman, The Flash, the Green Goblin

Another trio of super-powered, spandex-sporting characters here by way of Superman, The Flash and the Green Goblin. Everything from laser-firing eyes, superhuman strength, lightning-paced speed and being an absolute evil is covered here—the latter of which you might feel slightly less morally compromised by, given the Green Goblin is an out-and-out super villain. That said, Superman and The Flash would have made some bad ass baddies too.

Note: Rockstar has clarified its stance on modding and has said it does not ban players for modding their single-player game. With that, don’t ever use mods in GTA Online and to play it safe, don’t join GTA Online with single-player mods installed.
